Over the course of her career, Courtney has leveraged her marketing and communications acumen to advance businesses ranging from Fortune 50 to start-up organizations in private, public, and nonprofit sectors. Before founding CBL Strategies, Courtney led marketing teams at Capital One Commercial after their acquisition of the start-up company she helped launch.  She previously led marketing and communications teams at Georgetown University, Fannie Mae and theGlobe.com. Earlier in her career, she worked at advertising and branding agencies where she impacted brands including Mead Johnson, Scott’s, Enterprise, St. Louis and Ft. Lauderdale Convention and Visitor Bureaus, Almond Resorts, and Anheuser-Busch among others.

Courtney earned Bachelor of Science Magna Cum Laude from Georgetown University’s School of Business. She then obtained a license as a Certified Public Accountant and worked at Arthur Andersen, ultimately joining Anheuser-Busch’s strategic planning team, which led to her transition into a career as a marketing professional.

Fiona studied Graphic and 3 Dimensional Design at Suffolk College UK, graduating with Distinction. She worked as a strategic designer at Fitch and creative director, before moving into brand strategy on Orange and GM/Opel at Wolf Olins. Fiona was recruited to Hutchison Whampoa to become Head of Client Direction and Strategy for WHAM, where her responsibilities included leading the brand refresh of Marionnaud in 11 European Countries, Aircel and Hutch in India, and management of the Three brand Globally. In recent years, Fiona has led brand projects in the UK, the Philippines, Vietnam and Singapore as well in the USA with Chromium and CBL Strategies.
